To celebrate Black History Month in October, students from Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 created original poetry, drawing inspiration from British spoken-word artist, poet and rapper, George the Poet, particularly his powerful spoken word piece ‘1,2,1,2’. Through rap and performance poetry, students explored themes of resilience, identity and staying strong.

KS3 students were excited to have the opportunity to complete a boxing session at Leo's Gym, alongside pro boxers, WBC Womens Lightweight World Champion, Caroline Deboi, and George Crotty, whose professional career has just kicked off with 3 undefeated rounds. 

It is the DfE’s initiative that all schools have a Climate Action Plan and a Sustainability Lead in place by September 2025.
